Putting faith in Allah Subhanah Wa Talla is all you need when looking for peace and contentment. Having eman (faith) that Allah Subhanah Wa Talla is the only One with the answers and solutions is the first step to happiness. We sometimes forget that Allah (SWT) is avaialble for us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. All we have to do is seek him. Allah (SWT) said in Surat al Baqarah, verse 186.

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ

Wa-itha saalaka AAibadee AAannee fa-innee qareebun ojeebu daAAwata alddaAAi itha daAAani falyastajeeboo lee walyu/minoo bee laAAallahum yarshudoona

And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.
