10 Different Duas


(1) عن أنس رضي اللّه عنه أن رسول اللّه صلى اللّه عليه وسلم قال : " اللَّهُمَّ لا سَهْلَ إِلاَّ ما جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلاً، وأنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الحَزْنَ إذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلاً."


Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja-altaho sahlan wa anta tajalul huzna sahlan itha sheita.


Anas (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) said: “Oh Allah! There is nothing easy except what You have made easy and You are able to make the difficult easy, if You choose to do so.”


(2) رَبَّنا تَقَبَّل مِنّا ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ


Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas samee ul aleem


''O our Lord! Accept (this service) from us, verily You (alone) are the Hearer, the Knower. Surat al-Baqarah, verse 127.


(3) وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بنِ أَرْقَم رضَي اللَّه عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : آَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّه صَلّى االلهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم يقَولُ : «اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ العَجْزِ وَالكَسَلِ ، والبُخْلِ وَالهَرم ، وعَذَاب الْقَبْر ، اللَّهُمَّ آتِ نَفْسِي تَقْوَاهَا ، وَزَآِّهَا أَنْتَ خَيرُ مَنْ زَآَّاهَا ، أَنْتَ ولِيُّهَا وَموْلاَهَا ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلمٍ لا يَنْفَعُ ، ومِنْ قَلْبٍ لاَ يخْشَعُ ، وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لا تَشبَعُ ، ومِنْ دَعْوةٍ لا يُسْتجابُ لهَا » رواهُ مُسْلِمٌ.


"Allahumma inni a`udhu bika minal-`ajzi wal-kasali, wal-bukhli wal-harami, wa `adhabil-qabri. Allahumma ati nafsi taqwaha, wa zakkiha Anta khairu man zakkaha, Anta waliyyuha wa maulaha. Allahumma inni a`udhu bika min `ilmin la yanfau`, wa min qalbin la yakhsha`u, wa min nafsin la tashba`u, wa min da`watin la yustajabu laha.”


Zaid bin Arqam (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) would supplicate: [O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the inability (to do good), indolence, cowardice, miserliness, decrepitude and torment of the grave. O Allah! Grant me the sense of piety and purify my soul as You are the Best to purify it. You are its Guardian and its Protecting Friend. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the knowledge which is not beneficial, and from a heart which does not fear (You), and from desire which is not satisfied, and from prayer which is not answered].'' Muslim]. (4) رَبَّنا فَاغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَكَفِّر عَنّا سَيِّـٔاتِنا وَتَوَفَّنا مَعَ الأَبرارِ


Rabbana faghfirlana thunoobanaa wa kaffir anna sayyi aatinaa wa tawaffanaa ma alabraar


''Our Lord ! Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds and make us die with the righteous'." Surat Al-Imran, verse 193



(5) اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْملْكِ تُؤْتِي الْملكَ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَنزِعُ الْملْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَاءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ


allahumma malika almulki tutee almulka man tashao watanziAAu almulka mimman tashao watuAAizzu maan tashao watuthillu maan tashao biyadika alkhayru innaka AAala kulli shayin qadeer


"O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent." Surah Al-Imran ,verse 26


(6) لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا أَنتَ سُبحٰنَكَ إِنّى كُنتُ مِنَ الظّٰلِمينَ
