5 Comforting Ayahs From The Quran

Sometimes we need simple reminders from the Quran to help us get through a difficult day. Here are the top five ayahs that I find relief in when I am not having a great day. These reminders help me get through some difficult times and allow my heart to feel calmness and be at ease.



1. "Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction." (Quran 13:28)


الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ

Allatheena amanoo watatma-innu quloobuhum bithikri Allahi ala bithikri Allahi tatma-innu alquloobu


2. "So indeed, with the hardship (is) ease. Indeed, with the hardship (is) ease." (Quran 94: 5&6)


فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

Fa-inna maAAa alAAusri yusran

Inna maAAa alAAusri yusran

3. And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. (Quran 2;286)


وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ ۖ فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا لِي وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا بِي لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ.


Wa-itha saalaka AAibadee AAannee fa-innee qareebun ojeebu daAAwata alddaAAi itha daAAani falyastajeeboo lee walyu/minoo bee laAAallahum yarshudoona


4. ''O my Lord ! open my chest for me and make my task easy for me and make loose the knot from my tongue so that they understand my speech." (Quran 20: 25-28)


رَبِّ اشرَح لى صَدرى ﴿٢٥﴾ وَيَسِّر لى أَمرى ﴿٢٦﴾ وَاحلُل عُقدَةً مِن لِسانى ﴿٢٧﴾ يَفقَهوا قَولى


Rabbish rahli sadri wa yassir lee amri wahlul ukdatan min li saani yafkahu qawli


5. "Our Lord! Take us not to task if we forget or fall into error." (Quran 2:286)

رَبَّنا لا تُؤاخِذنا إِن نَسينا أَو أَخطَأنا


Rabbana la tu akhithnaa innaseenaa aw akhtaana
